The cups are washed, bins emptied, desks dusted and floors are mopped and hoovered. Do you think your office is clean? …wrong. Mouse & Keyboard – Similarly, your mouse and keyboard are another breeding ground for harmful bacteria. Because you’re working with the equipment all day every day, they pick up germs from your hands as well as leftover crumbs for your lunch. In many cases, 21,000 germs per square inch exist on your mouse and keyboard – that’s enough to put you off snacking at your desk!
Chair Arms – Have you ever thought how many times per day you touch the arms on your chair? Getting up to go and make a tea, adjusting your sitting position or turning around to speak to a colleague. It’s definitely more time than you first think. The bacteria on them builds up over time, so make sure they get a good wipe down with antibacterial from time to time.
Light Switches & Door Handles – Communal areas are breeding grounds for bacteria; think about how many hundreds of hands open that door or switch on the lights in the day. Over time bacteria builds up, and can be a serious hazard!
